Recently, Phum Ba Ri Restaurant celebrated its fifth anniversary by hosting a cultural banquet featuring Tibetan cuisine, providing both locals and visitors with an exquisite array of flavors. Food items such as tsampa, yak meat, and yogurt have long been established as iconic symbols of Tibetan culinary culture.

Phum Ba Ri Restaurant has innovatively established an exhibition area dedicated to traditional Tibetan kitchen practices. Copper pots simmered on the stove, emanating rich aromas, while elegantly plated dishes captivated the eye. “Tibetan cuisine places a significant emphasis on health,” explained Kelzang, a cultural researcher at the restaurant. “Cooking methods such as boiling and steaming are effective in preserving nutrients to the highest degree. All of our ingredients are sourced directly from highland pastures, ensuring they are natural and free from additives.” From tsampa cake to saffron-steamed eggs and butter-roasted golden mushrooms, each dish served as a vivid representation of highland culture.
