The Laigu Glacier is one of the three oceanic glaciers in the world. The glacier is actually a collection of glaciers surrounding the Laigu Village, serving as the primary source of the Parlung Zangbo River. Currently, wildflowers are blooming in the vicinity of Laigu, harmoniously complementing the glaciers and distant lake waters to create a stunning landscape.

In 2024, the Xizang Autonomous Region invested RMB9.4 million, and the village collective contributed RMB2.46 million to the construction of the Laigu homestay benchmark project. This initiative is anticipated to be completed and operational by the end of this year, which will create a cluster effect, enhance the competitiveness of Laigu homestay, and assist the Laigu Village in increasing its annual income by RMB 1 million.
