Recently, the first “CITIC Cup” Tibetan Chess King (Double King Chess) Tournament in 2023 was successfully held in Lhasa. It is reported that in 2021, Tibetan Chess was approved by The State Council to be included in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects list. Double King Chess is one of the many varieties of Tibetan Chess. Because it has simple rules, is easy to master, and very interesting, with a wide mass base. 

More than 200 Tibetan chess lovers from all walks of life participated in the competition.
