On February 8, in the just-concluded Beijing Winter Olympics cross-country skiing individual sprint (free technical) qualifying competition, athlete Tsering Zhandui from Xiaqu Town, Ruxian County, Nagqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region, scored 3:03.22, completing the first show of Tibetan athletes at the Winter Olympics. On February 11, he finished with a time of 43:22.20 in the men's 15km cross-country skiing (traditional technique).
