The Buddhist Academy of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) is located in Nyetang Township, Quxu County, Lhasa, TAR. As the first high-level comprehensive academy of Tibetan Buddhism, it attracted eminent monks and students of the five sects of Tibetan Buddhism. The academy combined the modern and traditional teaching modes, and set up three departments regarding Esoteric Buddhism, Exotoric Buddhism and Living Buddha. (Photo by He Penglei)

The Young Living Buddha Class was set up in 2011, when the academy finished it reconstruction. Now, there are 6 young Living Buddhas in the academy, studying Buddhist theories and receiving compulsory education comprehensively. (Photo by He Penglei)
