Jointly sponsored by Beijing Shunyi District and Lhasa Nyemo County, a 7 days cultural exhibition under the theme of "building dream for Nyemo" has recently been held in Beijing Traditional Art Center in Qianmen Street.

The exhibition will display various kinds of intangible culture heritages with rich and distinctive Tibetan characteristic, and people of all walks of life are welcomed to visit it.

The exhibition features five parts to show profound Tibetan culture and history, ecological highland scenery, unique folk custom and so forth. Visitors could not only watch hundreds of excellent handicrafts and photos there, but at the same time could savor the distinctive skills of "three treasures of Nyemo" -- Tibetan paper, engraving and incense.

Nyemo, with an area of 3,276 square kilometers, is a county located in the southwest of Lhasa, Tibet. In order to implement targeted poverty alleviation, Beijing has already sent 24 cadres and 27 doctors since paired aiding Tibet project carried out in 1995.

"It is the first time that Nyemo County brings its unique culture heritages to Beijing. The exhibition will definitely promote the development of Nyemo’s tourism, culture and industry. Also, it builds a platform for the people both from Nyemo and Beijing to exchange ideas with each other," said Du Guojun, secretary of the Party committee of Nyemo County.
