Display of Tibet’s inheritors and projects of intangible cultural heritage

After three years of field investigation, the book Oral Account of Tibetan Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors is published. Illustrating with sufficient pictures and explanation, the book records 22 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) projects of eight categories. The contents cover sectors like Tibet’s folk art, music, songs and dances, Tibetan opera, ethnic handicraft, Tibetan medicine, etc. Photo shows the cover of the book.

Based on the contents of the book, the chief editor Zhang Rui also made a documentary named National ICH Inheritors of Tibet, with a total running time of 300 minutes. The documentary includes 20 episodes which record the oral materials of 20 national ICH inheritors. Photo shows Bai Mei performs Tibetan opera.
