Sitting at an average elevation of about 4,900 meters in northern Jiali county, Nagqu city, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, the Mitika wetland offers breathtaking views of the plateau wetland ecosystem. As the source of the Miti Tsangpo River, a tributary of the Lhasa River, the wetland serves as an important ecological barrier for northern Xizang and plays a vital role in maintaining regional ecological stability and supporting the plateau ecosystem.
