BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- In commemoration of the 130th anniversary of the birth of late Chinese leader Mao Zedong, three radio programs have been broadcast on the China Media Group.
A three-episode radio drama, aired from Dec. 26 to 28, narrates the tale of a young Mao Zedong during the transformative period from the May Fourth Movement in 1919 to the convening of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 1921.
Another program, broadcast since Dec. 11, delves into Mao's personal journey seeking truth, as chronicled in his diaries. It explores the reasons behind Mao's intermittent diary-keeping and highlights the evolving style and content of his diaries across different phases.
In addition, a separate radio program aired since Dec. 12 sheds light on the interactions between Mao and the local residents in northern Shaanxi, providing insights into his engagement with the public during that period.
