Fried Tibetan doughnut, known as "Kasai" in Tibetan, is a traditional Tibetan dessert made of flour and butter. Fried in a pot, bite-sized flour and butter doughs transform into doughnuts of ear shape, butterfly shape, strip shape, square shape, round shape, etc., following which they are coated with sugar and later decorated with edible pigment. Adorned as such, they make both presentable artifacts on the credence table and one of the favorite desserts on a holiday feast table with friends and families.
