An airbus A319 landed on Hongyuan Airport, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture at 07:25, October 14, marking the successful test flight between Lhasa and Hongyuan. 

According to staff of Tibet Airlines, direct flights between Hongyuan and Lhasa are expected to be launched in October with two or three flights each week.  

The operation of this airline can bring much convenience to visitors as well as create more cooperation opportunities in Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai and Tibet’s economy development, cultural exchange and tourism. 

As of now, Hongyuan Airport has launched flights to Chengdu and Chongqing. It is learned that Hongyuan Airport will open flights to Xi'an, Lanzhou, Guiyang, Kunming, Shanghai, etc. at the right time.
