
QUE'ERSHAN, Sept. 27 (Kangba TV) -- Que’ershan Tunnel was officially open to traffic at 11:00, September 26, in the presence of constructers, designers and people around Derge County.
It took the 12.997km long Que’ershan Tunnel over five years to complete the construction, with the main hole 7,079m long, the entrance and exit at an altitude of 4,378m and 4,232m, respectively.

The operation of the tunnel can further strengthen the relationship between the inland and Tibet as well as boost the economic and social development in Tibetan-inhabited areas.
