
Baohe Township
Four boutique rural tourist routes have been newly launched along the Ancient Tea Horse Road in Baohe Township, Weixi County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province in this year to boost rural tourism and increase local people’s income.
I: The route of Naxi ethnic customs
Route I starts from Weixi downtown and ends in Baipatang, a famous post station along the Ancient Tea Horse Road, passing by Tsela, Baipa and Nangala.
As of now, tourism infrastructure along this route has been perfected with eight ecological farms.
II: The route of Tibetan, Pumi and Lisu ethnic customs
Route II starts from Weixi downtown and ends in Shihuiyao, passing by Lanyong, Guzongwan, Hualeba and Zhamudi.
This is a route abundant in ethnic, religious and folk culture. Tourism infrastructure along the line is good with 14 rural home inns.
III: The route of Lisu ethnic customs
Route III starts from Sanjiang Botanic Garden in Weixi County and ends in Haozhujing, passing by Zhangzikou and Longzhuajing.
This route is the nearest one to downtown and the best line to experience Lisu ethnic customs and watch rare plants on foot.
Six rural home inns have been built along this route.
IV: The route of Yi ethnic customs
Route IV starts from Weixi downtown and ends in Machang, passing by Huazandi, Guoditang, Laduoge and Guozandi.
Alpine pastures and Yi villages along this route are the best places to experience Yi ethnic culture. Tourism infrastructure along the line is well under way.
