The Lake Baksum Tso, located in Tsongo village, Kongpo Gyamda county, Nyingchi prefecture, southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, is surrounded by mountains, and has a moderate climate with wonderful landscape. With an average altitude of 3,538 meters. 'Baksum Tso', literally means "a lake situated amid three rocky mountains" in Tibetan, was evaluated as AAAA tourist scenic region in 2000.
