It is reported that the Shoton Festival’s initial plan has already been made. Lasting from the 14th of August to the 20th of August, the Shoton Festival wii begin at 8:00pm of the 14th, August in the Basketball Stadium of Lhasa Sports Center. The Shoton Festival in this year will have 8 items, including the opening ceremony, excellent Tibetan opera show, the delaying of the Buddha, the 5th Tibetan Tangka art exhibition, Tibetan music seminar, “Green Home” business performance, Namtso International Walking Festival and the “Sports Lottery” footbal league. It feels attractive just to look at the above programe.At the end of this month, the Shoton Festival Organizing Committee will give a press conference releasing the specific arrangement to the public. In the morning of 14th, August, the displaying of the Buddha will be hosted in the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery.  At this time of year, there are many people getting up earlier to go to the displaying location. Except the natives, lots of tourists also arrive at the activity location so as to experience the Tibetan festival atmosphere. This year must be a bustling and exciting scene.

In addition to the displaying of the Buddha, the NorbuLingka and the DzongyabLukhang Park will host the excellent Tibetan opera show from 14th of August to 20th of August, which is a good chance for the Tibetan lovers to enjoy the brilliant art performance.
