Meaning “auspicious slope” in Tibetan, Zhaxigang Village, at an average altitude of 3,300m, is located in Lulang Township, Bayi District, Nyingchi City, Tibet Autonomous Region.
About 78km away from Nyingchi downtown, Zhaxigang is a place of convenient transportation and beautiful scenery. Most local dwellings are Tibetan style, but some of other ethnic features like Han and Monpa. Local people are gentle, hospitable, sincere and unsophisticated.
There are 312 people in 68 households living in Zhaxigang Village, and 48 households are running home inns.
Local people's daily production equipment and ethnic costumes are hung on the corridors on the first floor with Tibetan featured tourists’ rooms on either side.
Besides amazing scenery and cozy hotels, entertainment activities are also accessible, like horse riding and Tibetan archery. Herdsmen of excellent archery will teach tourists how to shoot until they master the skill. Horse riding is a must-do activity. Tourists can ride horses and take pictures at the same time.
