YUSHU, July 20 (Kangba TV) -- The press conference for 2017 China Rafting Club League (Yushu) Anniversary Rafting and The Yellow River 30th Veteran Competition was held in the General Administration of Sport of China, July 17.
Hosted by Chinese Extreme Sports Association, Sports Bureau of Qinghai Province and The People's Government of Yushu City, the competition will be held in Yushu from July 30 to August 3 as the first event of China Rafting Club League.
The event comprises of drifting boat or paddle board competitions in sprint race, one-on-one challenge race and endurance race with participants from over 30 clubs.
The veteran competition is set to honor young men’s 5,464km rafting journey on the Yellow River 30 years ago.

General Administration of Sport of China granted Yushu as national highland rafting training base in 2016.
Liu Qing, secretary general of Chinese Extreme Sports Association said, “Yushu has been built into a gathering place for rafting in China. Against the background of "sports + tourism", we hope to attract people fond of rafting and other water sports to visit and learn about Yushu.”
It is learned that Yushu is going to bid for 2018 Rafting World Championships.
