Many places in Sichuan have embraced high temperature since July 10 while Dagu Iceberg Scenic Spot in Heishui County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture has another snowfall. This is the second snowfall in Dagu Iceberg Scenic Spot in July. 

According to Yu Songtao, a staff of the administration bureau of the scenic spot, this snowfall lasted for four hours and the average depth of snow is about 10cm with the deepest to 30cm. 

“I am so surprised to see snow in summer,” Wang Lei, a tourist from Chengdu came to Dagu Iceberg Scenic Spot to avoid summer heat with his family, said. “Unexpectedly, as soon as we got to the 4,860m tall Dagu Iceberg Scenic Spot, we saw large snowflakes falling down. Playing snowball and making snowman, we had a great time with the snow.” 

Yu said, “Dagu Iceberg Scenic Spot has had ten snowfalls since June. The number and volume of snows have increased compared to that of last year. And July has seen two snowfalls. The cool temperature and flying snowflakes have attracted many tourists.”
