XINING, July 4 (Kangba TV) -- 2017 China Xining Ninth “Tongkhor Cup” Plateau Kite Match kicked off on July 1 on Riyue Mountain in Huangyuan County, Qinghai Province. 21 competition teams from Shandong, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shanghai, etc. participated in this event.

Huangyuan County sits to the west of Xining, Qinghai’s provincial capital, where farming civilization of the Central Plains and grassland culture of the west were integrated in history, with the Tang-Tubo Ancient Road and Southern Silk Road passing through. 

Huangyuan County is dubbed as the thoroughfare of Tibetan-inhabited areas on Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and business hub of tea and horse.

Shandong Qingdao’s kites are characterized by three-dimensional ones, which can play to the best under this circumstance, because local views are awesomely extensive and local wind is strong.
