Napa Lake, located in Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, means a lake behind the forest in Tibetan. Landscapes in Napa Lake are peaceful and animated.
Napa Lake has been included in the List of Wetlands of International Importance since 2005. Henceforth, Diqing has been stepping up efforts to protect Napa Lake from pollution.
Napa Lake is a wintering habitat for many birds due to its gorgeous natural scenery.
According to He Xuetao, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, local government will feed wintering birds if the number of birds wintering is too big for the area of Napa Lake.
Black-necked cranes, erns, lammergeyers, etc. can be better preserved to some extent in this way.
