SHANGRI-LA, May 19 (Kangba TV) -- Shangri-La City, Yunnan Province will hold a horse racing festival during the Dragon Boat Festival (from May 30 to June 1) to show the local festive atmosphere. 

Located in the northwest Yunnan Province, Shangri-La has always been the most ideal "treasure land" for Tibetan people since ancient times.

A feast of ethnic traditional horse racing culture will be displayed through the equestrian events, ethnic and folk traditional individual sport events, horse related intangible cultural heritage works exhibition, etc. 

Meanwhile, a series of opening ceremonies, artistic performances, equestrian performances, a music festival, a cross-country motorcycle competition and some other activities will be held.
