
LHASA, May 3 (Kangba TV)--As one of China’s most beautiful villages, Dagdong Village held its first Peach Blossom Festival on May 1st.
Dagdong Village is located in Lhasa’s Liuwu New Area. Due to its splendid natural scenery, plain folk customs and long history, it was included into the list of China’s most beautiful villages.
It has rich tourism resources, including two ancient monasteries with nearly a thousand-year-long history, Tsangyang Gyatso’s temporary imperial palace and springs dug by Padmasambhave, etc.
They have been well preserved and reasonably developed. Now, a new pattern interacted with both development and protection is formed.

According to Dorji, secretary of Party branch in Dagdong Village, the village launched a project to improve its appearance and boost tourism.
It aims to enhance the industrial development and the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure in Dagdong Village, protect and inherit the local culture and help with the poverty alleviation.

"The planned territory is 5.6 square kilometers. The project started in late April, 2016 and was open to public on July 1 with the first round of investment of 120 million yuan. During nearly three months, over 80,000 tourists were received with total revenues hitting over two million yuan," said Liao Qiang, CEO of a company participating in the construction of the project.
