Named by Premier Zhou Enlai, Hongyuan, the nearest grassland to Chengdu, is known as the headwater of the Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers.  

With gorgeous natural and human landscapes, Hongyuan is also dubbed as “China’s best self-driving destination”, “The best ecotourism destination in China”, “China’s most desirable tourist destination”, etc. 

It is a place with Red Army’s Long March relics, Amdo Tibetan’s customs, horseback culture, Tibetan Buddhism culture, wetlands, flowers, grasslands, snow, woods, monasteries, etc.

The second Hongyuan grassland Yak Music Festival will be held from July 8 to 10. Tibetan, Qiang and Yi musicians will perform then. Meanwhile, VR technology will be introduced to make this event the first VR smart tourism outdoor music festival.
