On April 14, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province held a promotion for afforestation and the commencement (or resumption) of key projects in 2026. On the day, together with the Hoh Xil Ecological Protection Association, officials and residents from all ethnic groups across the prefecture planted over 120,000 trees. 

This year, Yushu plans to invest 531 million yuan in managing land, afforesting, restoring degraded forests, planting artificial grass, improving grasslands, fixing sand through engineering measures, etc.
