The "Love of Tibet" Tibetan Oil Painting Exhibition was held during Oct. 1-6, 2015 at the Tibet Public Center in Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, Xinhua reported.
The exhibition was held to showcase the contemporary art development in Tibet in the past 50 years, and promote art and cultural prosperity in the autonomous region.
A themed symposium was also conducted after the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The exhibition was sponsored by the Tibet Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Tibet Artists Association, with a view to enhancing the creation passion of the oil painters in Tibet, cultivating the brand awareness of Tibetan fine art works, and showing the historical changes and development of Tibet in the eyes of local oil painters.
Located at No. Two Dosenge Road in Lhasa, the Tibet Public Art Center was built at the end of 1975 with the aid of Tianjin City, one of the 43 aid-Tibet projects.
