It is learned that Ya’an-Kangding Highway (Luding section) will begin the trial operation very soon. 

As the first highway to Garze Tibetan-inhabited area, the 135km long highway has 129 bridges and 44 tunnels with a deigned speed of 80km/h. 

The operation of this highway can shorten the travel time from Chengdu to Hailuogou to three hours. 

Hailuogou Scenic Area was established in October 1984 and has been open to the public since October 15, 1987.  It has been approved as a national AAAAA class scenic area since February 2017, which is the first of its kind in the Tibetan-inhabited area of Sichuan Province. 

To provide more pleasant travel experiences for tourists, the scenic area will launch a series of preferential policies, like free entrance tickets and ropeway tickets for second–visit people in 2018.
