HONGYUAN, Oct. 25 (Kangba TV) -- On the morning of October 24, carrying 66 passengers, flight TV6040 of Tibet Airlines took off from Hongyuan Airport of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, marking the first successful direct flight from Hongyuan to Lhasa.

The Hongyuan-Lhasa air route is the third air route of Hongyuan Airport, and the first long-distance air route of Aba which crosses the Tibetan-inhabited areas.

A safer and better choice, this route brings much convenience for farmers and herdsmen of Aba.

Besides, it will also bring more cooperative opportunities to the economic and social development, cultural communication and tourism integration of Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai and Tibet.
