It is learned from Tingri County Tourism Bureau of Shigatse City that as winter falls, the diurnal temperature difference is large in Mt. Qomolangma Scenic Area.  

For the sake of tourists’ safety, the decampment of Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp began on October 26.  

Then, tourists to Mt. Qomolangma are not allowed to stay in the 5,200m high campsite as well as put up tents for accommodation without permission. 

The campsite will be open for further notice. 

Though Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp was dismantled, tourists heading to Mt. Qomolangma can still enjoy the magnificent scenery of the world's highest peak with easy access to accommodation nearby. 

At present, the Mt. Qomolangma has the highest visibility throughout the year. 

For tourists in the hope of shooting morning and evening glow, you can shoot in the observation platforms of Rongbuk Monastery and Jiawula mountain pass. 

A warm reminder for those planning to watch sunrise in Jiawula Mountain, it is better for you to arrive at the mountain pass before 7:00 a.m.
