QILIAN, July 12 (Kangba TV) -- On the morning of July 10, themed “green, development, unity and progress”, 2017 Qilian Mountains Grassland Cultural Tourism Festival raised the curtain in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. 

Early in the morning, people of many ethnic groups and tourists from home and abroad all headed to the plaza. Performers were rehearsing and audiences were seated and ready for the opening ceremony. 

A tourist from Gansu said she did not know the festival before and she felt lucky to come across the event. According to her, Qilian is cool with profound ethnic culture. Though Qilian and Gansu share some similarities, the former is distinct and worth visiting. 

The event was firstly launched in 2007 and gets its reputation via various forms, long duration (lasts till September) and strong ethnic atmosphere. Now, it has become a brand event of Qilian County.
