The traditional copper ware craft in Zedong Township, Namling County, Tibet Autonomous Region enjoys a history of 100 years.

To date, the sculpture craft of Zedong Township has been handed down for six generations, and the Buddhist sculptures made by craftsmen are preserved well in the monasteries.

The sculpture craft of Zedong Township is unique and characteristic, with original and ethnic features, reflecting profound religious culture and typical Nepalese sculpture style.

The craft is mainly showed in monastery architectures and metal Buddhist figures.

Marvelous carving and sculpture craft forms, vivid figures and delicate patterns present a special style, fine craftsmanship and long-standing and well-developed making skill.

The craft was included in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage list of Tibet in 2007, and the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2008, respectively.
