Forest rangers along the Yarlung Zangbo River

Publish Time: 2018-06-29 Author: Chen Man From: Kangba TV

Pasang (L) and Pema Tsering (R) are all forest rangers. The forest they take care of is located in the Chanang section on the south bank of Yarlung Zanbo River’s middle reaches. Every morning and afternoon, they patrol along the fixed route, and trim some trees along the way.

Pasang is a farmer of Chanang County, Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region. For him, the job is not tiring, and he can have a daily income of 200 yuan. His major concern is that trees might be poached or damaged by cows, sheep, etc.

Pema Tsering talks less, but smiles more. He believes that this place where saplings grow will become a fairyland with verdant trees, blooming flowers, lush mountains, lucid water and sapphire sky.
