It is understood that "Xuan" dance can be traced back to the period of ancient Shangshung civilization, and it was developed in the period of Guge Kingdom when it evolved as a kind of magnificent and solemn palace dance, and was passed down till today. With a history of more than a thousand years, the dance was listed as the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage on June 7, 2008.
