Villagers lead horses to walk around the holy mountain in drizzle.

Villagers of Niru Village, Shangri-La County, Yunnan Province were dressed up and headed to the foot of holy Shengga Mountain to pay tribute to the sacred mountain.

They took part in the horse running and the group banquet and danced guozhuang (circle dance). Villagers fed their horses up and decorated them early in the morning. Then they rushed to the activity venue. After Cangba chanted scriptures, all men of Niru Village stood up and played the conch.

The aromatic plants were burnt with brand-new prayer flags flying in the wind to convey blessings. After the burning ceremony went the wonderful horse running activity. Villagers led their horses to walk around the mountain in drizzle.
