Publish Time: 2018-06-23 Author: Tian Ruolin From: Kangba TV

Ngari is “heavenly”. Boasting the most ancient civilization, Ngari enjoys the most sacred, imposing, unsophisticated, the starriest and the wildest natural and humanistic landscapes.

It is also called “the ridge of the roof of the world” at an altitude of 4,500m.

Distinguished plateau features:

With a high altitude comes thin and pure air. The sky and clouds seem right under tourists’ noses. Unique geographical features form its unparalleled beauty.

Plateau lakes like Lanngatso, Marme and Dongtso are as clear as jade.

Plateau highways are like ladders to the heaven.

Flowers can be seen all over the plateau oasis of Sengye Khabap wetland.

Rivers and grass in Zhaxigang wetland are quite picturesque.

With the most sacred mountains and lakes:

Mt. Gang Rinpoche (Mt. Kailash), one of the ten most beautiful mountains in China, is dubbed as the sacred mountain by Buddhists, Hindus, Bon religion followers and Jains Ngarike.

The sacred lake Mapham Yutso sits to the south of Mt. Gang Rinpoche. It looks like a gemstone inset on the plateau.

The sacred mountains and lakes are revered by many people, who flock to offer their worship. Tourists would be awed by the imposing scenic beauty, which only belongs to Tibet.

Imposing landscapes:

Ngari is desolate, majestic and vast in territory with unique landscapes. Zanda soil forest covers an area of 2,500 square kilometers with soil forest in different styles.

Changtang grassland stretches to the horizon with herds of cattle and sheep. The landforms formed by the Himalayas and Mt. Gangdise are quite marvelous and spectacular.
